It's great fun, and non-watch collecting friends are now noticing watches on my wrist that they'd seen in Instagram photos.

: What smart phone / camera are you using?

iPhone 5. A camera that's actually better than most point-and-shoots.

:Any recommendations for the newbies?

The focus option is excellent. You use it by pinching the small circle and moving it around on your photo. It let's you focus, for instance, just on the Heuer shield while applying a blur effect to the rest of the photo.
