Is this same camera from the iPhone 5s incorporated into other devices -- iPad Mini or iPod Touch, for example? My wife has the iPhone 5s, and I am wondering whether I can have this exact same camera in any of these other devices.

Apple customer said "no" . . . that this camera is unique to the 5s, and is not yet used in other devices, but that just doesn't seem right.

My apology for asking before doing the full research, but perhaps others will have looked into this (and it may also be of interest to other readers who are using other phones but could do well with a WiFi-based device).
