You Say: Ditch the Blackberry OR the Flip Phone

You mean, "Ditch the Blackberry AND the flip phone." . . . I am currently very pleased with my flip phone (circa 2005, with no camera at all); not so happy with the Blackberry, but it has the benefit of being free (office-issued).

If I could get the iPhone 5s camera in a small WiFi device that came without the monthly charges, I would be happy trying to get another few years out of the flip phone.

. . . but perhaps I need to just jump onto the iPhone train. Who knows, if I wait a little longer, I could be an early-adopter of the iPhone 6!!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

: Jeff,

: My understanding is that the camera in the iPhone 5 series of smart
: phones is unique to those devices. The camera in my new iPad is
: OK but nowhere near as good and since the device is bigger it is
: nowhere near as easy to use and much more apt to create nasty
: reflections in reflective subjects.

: Again my understanding is that the camera in the original iPhone 5
: is the same camera as in the new series but with some
: software/firmware enhancements. My son has the newer iPhone 5
: (5s) and I can't see much difference.

: There are great things and drawbacks to a smartphone camera. I sort
: of wish there was an ap which would connect my iPhone to my
: studio strobe system but as far as I know the iPhone works only
: with continuous lighting. I wish the iPhone was a little bit
: better in low light...but it is what it is and to me it is a
: fine camera for normal everyday watch pictures.

: Come on Jeff...ditch the blackberry or the flip phone or whatever
: and join the modern world.
