This model and many others were available as NOS until

about 2007, amongst the collection of NOS 1970's Breitlings Old World Jewelers (Chicago, IL) bought at auction in Zurich around 2000. This model (7103) was being sold by them for $895 up until 2007 which was a great bargain. It rose to $1295 when they began to run out of stock in June of 2008. They had several Breitling models for sale including "Chrono-matic" Navitimers, #2105 SuperOceans, #2034 Datora's and so on. When Willy Breitling chose to shut down Breitling in the late 1970's due to ill health (he died a short time later) and the quartz crisis, he put a large stash of unsold inventory in storage where it remained until sold at auction in 1996, by a Joseph Iten. Ron Geweniger of Old World Jewelers later bought them from, I believe, the auction of the estate of Joseph Iten. When I first saw ads for this special collection of NOS watches back in the mid-2000's (in Wristwatch Annual 2004 and 2005 and, the 2004, 2005, 2006 Complete Price Guide to Watches by Shugart/Engle/Gilbert) I was skeptical that they were real! Finally, in 2007 I realized that they were indeed the real thing so I ended up buying three models myself. I wish I had bought more! I love their ad copy which reads "Here's your chance to turn back the hands of time"!
Here are scans of the two ads

This one is from 2004

And, from 2003

: Interesting looking watch --- according to a forum posting,
: Reference 7103, Long Playing model . . . good looking watch, at
