Dude can ask whatever he wants...means very little about actual value. What it may mean is that next time I walk into a jewelry store and ask if they have any old watch parts sitting around and he comes up with a buckle like this...if he looks it up on eBay he may tell me he wants stupid money for it. This happens all of the time.
