To go off of Manuel's point, that is why so many bid up Heuer auctions right away rather than waiting until the last few seconds to snipe.

In this case, I would not have been surprised to see this early 3147 with silver text go above $5,000 or $6,000 when the auction ended. It is continually amazing how many great Heuers are sold by unwitting sellers off eBay when they could have gotten significantly more had they waited.
