Thanks Paolo. I didn't repost it on VRF because I didn't want to get 100 emails offering to buy it. The watch is not and will not be mine. My friend is in no hurry to do anything, but he does seem to really want to replace the hand first. He has the original but told me it's "flimsy". I've not handled watch parts, so I don't know what he means. I would think a fresh hand would feel quite delicate. At least the original can be used to confirm the proper hand is installed. I told him to save the original even after it's been replaced. He's not reaching out to the Rolex guys I connected him with. He's thinking of sending it to Rolex in NYC. I dragged him in to a second hand shop after lunch yesterday. We just went in talking about maybe having them replace the hand, how much could he get on trade for a current generation Daytona. The salesman did not gush about the watch. My friend gave his contact info so the shop owner could call him.
: Very lucky friend you have!!
: the watch head alone is comfortably worth 100000 usd now,
: regardless the missing hand,
: and the bracelet 7835 with that 71N end links can be other 10000
: alone... it's the rarest of the rare daytona bracelets!
