KAF Bund
In Response To: Friday guys! ()

The Autavia, just back from the Spa at Nic "Heuerboy" Green, superb service as usual.

The wearing of the Kenyan Air Force Autavias on the bund strap originated in 1979, when the Kenyan Northrop F-5B pilots of the "Cheetahs" squadron participated in the famous NATO Tiger meet and took to wearing the bund strap in honour of the German F-104 pilots they met*.

* The story of the Tiger meet is completely made up, as obviously only Canadian F-104s participated in the 1979 meet (what did we do without Google?). And the bit about the Kenyans participating is made up as well. But I do think the KAF Autavia looks pretty good on a "bund" strap.
