Thanks for your note. I don't believe that we were dragged down by yesterday's new visitor, and the discussion that ensued.

I believe that our responses showed the depth of information in the community, and the kindness that we show, even when newcomers walk into the club with the guns blazing. Other forums are not so receptive to challenges, and each accusation or insult is countered with other negative responses . . . and it goes downhill very quickly. I believe that we do well to maintain the relaxed, calm atmosphere, addressing the challenges as they come.

Tomorrow (or even later today), someone may post a message suggesting that the world is flat, and that we have not brought definitive proof that it is round. Perhaps they will offer the lovely Mappamundo as proof for their assertion. We can address this challenge, when and if it occurs.
