Mayer is seeking $656,000 in the lawsuit -- the purchase price paid for seven Rolexes that had some questionable parts, plus interest and damages for fraud, breach of oral contract and negligent misrepresentation.

So if John Mayer can't safely buy Rolexes from Bob Maron, what are the rest of us to expect?
