Re: Celebrity Watch Collector Suing Celebrity Watch Dealer

: Here's an interesting article, about the lawsuit that John Mayer
: has filed against Bob Maron, thought of as
: watch-dealer-to-the-stars --

:

: Mayer is seeking $656,000 in the lawsuit -- the purchase price paid
: for seven Rolexes that had some questionable parts, plus
: interest and damages for fraud, breach of oral contract and
: negligent misrepresentation.

: So if John Mayer can't safely buy Rolexes from Bob Maron, what are
: the rest of us to expect?

: Jeff

It has been my impression that Maron's dealings have been regarded with some raised eyebrows among the Rolex crowd for some time. He seems to have an outsized press presence too - someone who touts celebrity connections more than the services or goods provided is spinning very, very hard.
