Hi all,
I found those 1975 original price lists in Italian and I thought to scan them and post just for sake of information.
Prices are obviously in Italian Lire (just to make a comparison Lire vs Euro in 2001, before the european Euro introduction, 1 Euro =1936.27 Lire), so for example the 1158 CHN with bracelet was approx. 570 Euros :-)
Interesting to see how, except for the gold Carrera 1158CHN (with and without gold bracelet), the most expensive watch was the 110.633 Calculator, while the Cal15 Monaco 1533B and G were relatively cheap if compared to the 3rd gen. Carrera with barrell case (this could explain a bit the diffusion of some watches like the Calculator and the barrell Carrrera).
Surprisingly the 11630 Autavia GMT was cheaper than the brothers 11630 MH / T / P !!!
Again, the 15640 Skipper cost almost like a Silverstone...
I leave to you your own considerations...
For your consideration also this second one about the stopwatches and their accessories:
How would I have a time machine to go back at 1975 and buy all of them :-)
Thanks for reading.
Best.
Gianluca
