Maybe no more...

This is all very interesting - being a relative newcomer to collecting Heuer over the last 5 years or so, I too like almost all the regulars on here have been shocked by the price hikes we have seen recently especially on these two auctions.

In the last two years I have sold some great pieces, with the thought in my mind that I could own them again in the not too distant future. With what's going on in the market I think maybe not!! That seems a shame...but good for the sellers. We have all seen the same thing happen with classic cars, classic HiFi gear (good quality record players/turntables are experiencing a price hike of late), vintage or classic anything with a pedigree really - as soon as it hits the 'mainstream' media, prices skyrocket.

I guess I can gaze wistfully at my old pics....I sold this under a year ago - with a Heuer sun buckle. I won't let on for how much! Anyway it's all in the enjoyment and these watches give us all so much enjoyment far and above anything monetary.
