Darren you words sum up so well and echo my thoughts - to a degree
The current situation is not dissimilar to what we've been seeing in the Classic Porsche scene - I'll add unfortunately
Rare models being hyped up to the point that they get bought at stratospheric prices thus inflating the more common models at the same time. Some members in our community seem hell bent on using their influence to inflate prices as high as they can
Floods of 'enthusiasts' join in with monetary attraction as opposed to passion
The general consensus within the Porsche community is not sadness but one tarred with an air of looking back to when values weren't the most discussed issue within an enthusiasts community
Sometimes the appreciation curve doesn't always equal the enjoyment one!
