I can't really tell because usually you'll know right away by looking at the outside edges surrounding the Heuer logo if it looks normal the stainless steel looks polished it should be fine but if it looks cloudy and not polished than you have a questionable one. I wish I could find my example of a fake one, I acquired it from a band but I knew it was a fake looking at it. It's in storage but I use it to compare with others mostly...
