Your watch is a "put-together" Siffert Autavia and not really a true original one since the case is not correct and may affect it's value if sold in the future. You can always find an original case with the appropriate serial range if it bothers the owner, however, in the owner's mind it will always be a "put-together" Siffert and not original. It's a nice wearer if you're on a budget since it wasn't really original but the purist will always be looking for originality.
Just my humble opinion.

: I would like to start that I am not really a Heuer guy, as of right
: now I only have 3 Heuers. But yesterday I picked up a Autavia
: for a friend and everyone involved was excited. Well, after
: doing some research a number of questions came up. I hope this
: forum can help me resolve some/all of them.
: As far as I learned yesterday, what I have is a Viceroy model
: (1163V), Cal 12, White dial, and hour bezel insert.
: 1) Can it still be called Jo Siffert model?
: 2) Why would this model have hour bezel insert with a hole @ 12 (I
: guess for a tritium dot)?
: ... and finally - serial on the case is 358,839 -- that's way way
: way out of any 1163 serial numbers I have ever heard of? Any
: explanations? (the case is mint).
