Case difference (Schmitz vs Piquerez)

Could you please help me to understand the difference in cases. Are you saying that cases for the Siffert model were never made by Schmitz, but instead by Piquerez?

If you could, can you address the serial number question. As far as I know, 1163 serials are mostly in the range of 200,000 to 225,000. This case is 358,xxx - any ideas? By that time Heuer was not even producing plastic crystal Autavias.
