Just received my order for the DVD Weekend of a Champion. It was released today. Awesome film of Roman Polanski's when he followed Jackie Stewart during the three days of the 1971 Monaco GP. Stewart won the F1 championship in 1971, driving for Ken Tyrrell. Awesome race footage with Stewart also taking the time to tell his secrets of championship driving. At the end, they roll forward to today when they both discuss that weekend in retrospect...in the very same hotel suite where some of the original film was made. Includes filming of Francois Cevert, his very young teammate, Jo Siffert, Graham Hill, among other drivers. They even film Nina Rindt, who apparently was invited to Monaco by Jackie and his wife, Helen. Approximately 2 hours long and worth every penny of the $22.48 price.
