Ha! I'm the buyer from DC, but I offered $5k, not 7.
It was a Wednesday, as I recall, and I couldn't make it down to Culpepper — about 80 minutes away — until Friday. He said he was coming to DC for a baseball game that night and said he might be able to bring the watch with him for me to look at. The next day, he told me his boss wanted to let it run at auction.
