I have a special soft spot for these 11063 case style Autavia's
So last year when this one came up for sale on the bay with a meager buy it now price - I jumped on it.
When I got the watch it was badly banged up and not functioning.
The crystal was gone- there were no sub register hands, the bezel was mangled and the caseback had a nasty dent in it that was severe enough to render the movement garbage.
Over the course of the next 6-8 months I managed to get my hands on some new parts and off to Craig at chronodeco.
He did a great job of putting everything back together and I am thrilled to see new life breathed back into this time piece.
It's not the first we've seen of these great military pieces... But I think they are relatively rare nonetheless.
Have a great weekend,
Lanny
