Agreed: Fantastic Engraving re Matterhorn

I agree that the engraving on the case-back makes this one even more interesting -- probably to commemorate an ascent of the Matterhorn, in 1950.

So we have a fantastic case, marking a nice event, and a correct movement, but what a shame about the dial . . . makes it just about worthless, to me.

: Hi Jeff,
: i was focussing on that watch, specially also because of the case
: back engraving.
: But i looked several times from different angels at the dial, it
: seem there was a reprinting that didnt succeed,
: resulting in the shadows You mentioned,
: was also wondering about the 3000 print onthe dial
: made in Switzerland is not kosher, so i decided not to bid.
: Anyway 9000+ was too heavy for me,
: remember that golden Tiple date from Mexico some 2 years ago?

: If anyone has the proper dial for this Triple date, it will be a
: very nice example because
: movement number fits into moon phase triple date beginning with
: 55...
