The normal resistance that you feel on the winding crown when your nearing a full wound is no longer there. I can wind the crown indefinitely. At first I thought that the mainspring is broken but the watch still runs although the power reserve is down to 12 hrs only. I noticed a very tiny piece of metal shrapnel fall out of the movement. This whole problem started one day when I was winding the watch and I heard a snap.

I brought the watch to a local watch maker who also happens to be a Tag AD but they said they couldn't fix the watch because they didn't have any parts. I don't know whether they contacted The Tag facility in NJ or not

I'm considering dropping off the watch at the NYC boutique which will forward the watch to NJ which might need to go to thier vintage restoration in La Chaux de Fonds.

Has anyone here had their vintage Heuers overhauled in La Chaux de Fonds?
What were your experiences like in terms of customer service efficiency, turnaround time, and most importantly the quality of the work that was done?
