Jeff, I'm with you on this. I cannot find anything wrong with this dial. It is missing lume dots at 3 and 9 o'clock positions and "T" above the lower register, but this we have seen with the AF Seafarers earlier. Genuine and super rare in my book.
Mika
: We discussed this one back in July 2014 , when it was listed
: for sale on ChronoTrader , at 15,900 Euro. Now it is listed for
: sale on Chrono24, with the asking price at 14,800 Euro.
: We did not reach any conclusion about the authenticity . . .
: wondering whether there are new views on the issue?
: To state the obvious -- I believe that this is the first Seafarer
: that we have seen, with the "Heuer" shield, rather
: than the Abercrombie & Fitch name. It would have been one
: hell of a task to remove the Abercrombie & Fitch name and
: replace it with the "Heuer" shield. Odd that the
: letter "f" collides with the shield. These photos
: (probably taken inside a white tent) do not show us any details
: of the finish of the dial. I'm not sure what to make of this
: one.
