Hi Friends
First a big thanks to Gerald, Olaf, Jan and Darren for participating – and another big thanks to those who hosted us, Klarlund (TAG Heuer) and vintage watchmaker Jorgen Krognos www.krognos.dk.
Here are some photos to tell the story of a great meeting.
Here we meet in front of Copenhagen Town Hall where Jens Olsens Verdensur is to be found. From left to right Gerald, Jan, Darren, Peter, Olaf
Jens Olsens Verdensur (World Clock) is the most precise mechanical clock in the world. It was started for the first time on the 15’Th of December 1955. The slowest sprocket rotates ones every 25753 year!
Now time for some watchlooking, smørrebrod, beer and snaps in Tivoli Gardens.
Satisfied of the food we went to vintage watchmaker Jorgen Krognos who worked in the Swiss watch industry in the golden seventies. Bulova, Omega and a short visit to Heuer. He served another microbrewery beer and traded an Omega with Jan.
Next stop was Klarlund, official distributer of Rolex and TAG Heuer. We looked at the modern TAG’s, especially the TAG Heuer McLaren MP4 12C is a nice piece:
…………..but our own watches are the ones we really want to see!
After a long day it is time for dinner and drinks:
Hope you enjoyed and that we meet next time there is a Heuer Meet
