From page 210 of the Christie's catalog for the "Patek Philippe 175" auction, regarding the two-crown "world time" wristwatch (Lot 64, described on page 208): "As so often happens in the world of vintage watch collecting, such a limited production is dues to the poor reception the model received when first launched. It took decades for the taste of the public to evolve and eventually appreciate these masterpieces, which are consequently as rare as they are sought after."
