Well I have to share with fellow Heuer enthusiats a purchase of a different brand,Zenith.
I have finally been able to add the El Primero Rainbow Flyback 405 to the stable.
It was a toss up between this piece and the 64' Carrera. I just could not seem to nail down a good Vintage Heuer within the 8 month timeframe. Plus the exchange rate is absoluting killing any overseas purchases this year...
I'm very impressed so far with this piece. I was lucky to find it NOS. The movement sounds like a wonderfull freight train with an elegant sweep. Bracelet will need to be sized but appears very comfortable when I tried on.
It was very tough to find one of these watches in captivity to try on. I was fortunate enough to wristcheck in Miami,FL. I tried on the new Carrera at Tourneau in Palm Beach,Fl but it just did not put me away like my 1873 64'Re Edition.
Anyone have one these rascals in their collections?
Regards,Mark
