Hi all,
It's been awhile since I posted but thought I'd join in on the "Best of"...especially now that I've figured out how to post images. ;)
I suppose there are a few from 2014 that really stand out that work well in this forum.
1st, this forum helped me with this one when I was driving through Lucerne. Yes, she has service pushers and the case has a lot of polish, but she's very presentable and the design is simply fantastic. I think it's the most perfectly designed chronograph ever.
The second is a current model (some say it's out of production already but I still see them). It's a stunner in the flesh and I love the painted dial. Looks nice with black or red racing straps made by Giuliano too!
Lastly, with all the seeming craziness about Universal Geneve and the Valjoux 72 models, I woke up early one morning in Germany and made an offer on a piece that had just been posted for sale on eBay. The offer was accepted and now seems like a great deal despite a lower pusher that needs to be sorted or replaced. The dial lacks "compax" above the lower register which perhaps points to a late run dial. Who knows, but it's lovely.
Happy New Year!
Mike
