Hi,
I love these watches (mainly because they are really cool, and a little bit because Jeff put my name into their nickname "shauntavia"). It is fantastic to have this first hand confirmation that they were indeed from the Kenyan Airforce. Previously we had assembled evidence from many consistent factors (second hand stories from a watch dealer, the change from KAF to 82AF, and other factors) but we never had 100% definite evidence. Now we have it, thanks!
Perfect timing as Jeff had asked me to write up an article about these watches and I was just finishing it; now I would just love to include your dad's story as it forms a perfect last chapter to the long saga of this forum's investigation into the watch. Any details you have would be gratefully received.
Here is a thread about the watches a couple of years ago: http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?page=1;md=read;id=59040
Thanks so much for posting!
Shaun
