It feels like the normal conventions for listing items for sale have become outdated.
Everyone knows that everyone lists the prices higher than what they may expect to get. So if they are interested, they will ask "What is your best price?" as a way to say "What are you actually hoping to get out of this watch?"
I find the dance a little annoying, but I'm more of a no-nonsense bidder. I have an idea of what an item is worth and I expect the seller to as well.
I also like the idea of requiring a price and photo with each posting.
I don't mind emailing for more details about a watch, but it's annoying to have to email just for the price. I especially don't like when people just expect the masses to throw offers at them. I much prefer when a seller knows about what they want. It just saves everyone time.
