The power of Hodinkee

I listed my 1930s Heuer Chronograph for sale at Chronotrader and Ebay without any takers. There was suprisingly little interest for this rare Heuer Chrono.

That was about to change. I got in touch with Eric Wind at Hodinkee. I knew he liked my old Heuer. Eric wanted to include my watch in the weekly "What's selling" article.

This Friday a picture of my Heuer was heading the article. Eric made a very nice write up about my watch and linked to Chronotrader and Ebay.

In less than 30 minutes the watch was sold at asking price, the emails from buyers continued for a couple of days. The ad on Chronotrader has been seen by more than 1.200 viewers. Prior to the post on Hodinkee the number was around 50....

Great fun!

Thanks Eric!
