Hi jeff,
: What can you tell us about this version?
This watch was offered by Steinberg and Frazier at least in 2010 for £2,350. At that time I did not recognize the true potential of this watch and tried to negotiate the price in a package deal. When I asked the last time in December 2010, the watch was sold. Since then I'm hunting for this watch or another one.
: I am assuming that only
: the bezel is white gold and not the entire case? Are we sure
: that this bezel is not steel?
Yes, according to the seller's description and further discussion. The images provided by the seller show different colors of the bezel and the case. However, I would expect the bezel to have a warmer tone.
: I don't believe that it is shown in any of the catalogs. Was it a
: special edition for a specific market or a specific occasion?
I found the corresponding page in the WaybackMachine:

: Many collectors dislike the bright gold bezel of the 110.245, so
: perhaps they will prefer this white gold version of the bezel.
You are right. I was thinking about rhodonizing the Yellow Gold bezel in order to "fake" my dream Jarama.
Cheers,
Mick
