I think of all the "Poor Man's" Carrera versions it seems the Hamilton is the one which gets the most attention. And for a fraction of the "real" thing, I still think it's good buying. The Hamilton logo is particularly handsome in comparison to say Clebar or Zodiac which is a relatively boring typeface.
Parts are plentiful which makes restoration and servicing easier.
It won't be long before the days of picking one up for a few hundred dollars (I managed to do this myself even this year as a buy now on the 'bay) are over.
Here's a recent restoration that I sold to a happy buyer for way less than the the one you pictured Jeff - though of course the triple register is perhaps more desirable.
