Is this a rule?

First things first:

Huge congrats on this rare bird! The watch looks just stunning. And indeed, I have also seen seen at least three examples with matchstick hands in your configuration. But until now, I thought they were all swapped.

So is this a rule regarding the matchstick hands starting in the 52XXX serial range? This should also be true for the late 2446 2nd Exec dial versions then.

Best,
Manuel

: Our experts suggest that the matchstick (index) hands were
: beginning to be used on this execution in this range -- 52378.

: There is a little too much dome in the crystal, but I am thrilled
: with the watch.
