No real secret hunting grounds but if you're in the Naples area there are a couple of high end jewelers down on 5th Ave downtown that sometimes have vintage stuff, but that is hit or miss. Also in Naples are a couple of antique stores off of 41 and on Airport Rd that sometimes have watches. In fact I picked up a halfway decent Regatta at an antique/consignment shop that is now closed.
If you go a little further north on 41 to Ft. Myers there is Pondella Estate Jewelers. I'm not sure how but they almost always seem to have a Heuer or two. Fair warning though, the guy is a real jerk to deal with.

: I'm planning a trip to Florida later this year and I was wondering
: if there were any places to visit for vintage watch finds?
: I wont expect you guys to tell me your secret hunting grounds but
: maybe some clues to this thread or to my email? Miami and Naples
: are on my planned route but why not make small bend on trip if
: something interesting can be found. Unfortunately i will miss
: the Miami beach antique show and probably Matthew Bain
: collection will be out of my budget.
