Rally Times Measured in Hundredths of Minutes

Quick point of information -- Rally times are set / measured in hundredths of minutes. So, for example, 2 minutes and 24 seconds = 2.40 minutes.

The math is much easier, when using decimal minutes, than seconds. 2.40 minutes plus 6.70 minutes = 9.10 minutes (a good bit easier than adding 2 min, 24 seconds plus 6 minutes, 42 seconds) . . . try cranking all that on your Curta!!

Oh, and one more thing . . . it's a great looking watch!!

: This Carrera ref. 2447 DN is my only early Carrera showing some
: kind of racing style. Strange enough it features a decimal scale
: which certainly is not as useful for racing as a
: tachymeter.
