My friend James answered that question for me a while back.
There is a screw near the stem that needs to be unscrewed approx 1.5 turns. The stem should slide out after that. Don't unscrew it too far or you'll mess up the keyless works.
I'll try to find and upload the pic he sent me of the screw.
