Re: Early Carreras -- Flat White Dial versus Starburst Dial

Very interesting, Jeff !!

It is exactly like the early Daytona 6239 dials - made by Singer as on the Carreras - the very first dial was creme plain, it is called the Double Swiss Grene dial and it was just made for all first Daytona's 1963 till early 1964.
Then the 6239 got a Starbust dial in silver ... seems, the evolution of dial surface at Singer were used - or offered - at the same time to Rolex and Heuer!

Great watches, both, but the white/creme dial would be my favorite!

All the best!
Werner

: Last night, we looked at the early Carrera 2447S (white dial)
: compared with the early Carrera 2447N (black dial).

: Tonight, we look at the difference between the very first Carreras,
: with the flat white or eggshell paint, and the next ones, with
: the starburst white / silver finish. No so subtle, is it?
