Nice looking watch and welcome to our little corner of the internet!!
Best / simplest explanation is that the hands were replaced (updated) during a servicing.
You know these watchmakers, back in the day . . . they loved to add the newest, most up to date parts to the old watches. Of course, they could not have imagined that 40 or 50 years later, the premium would be paid for the older, original parts.
Serial number might be useful in helping us analyze this one.
