In 1975 I bought a Rolex Submariner expanding bracelet from someone at work and after a little attention with a file fitted it to my Carrera, Cost me two bottles of very moderately priced wine. For 40 years I have thought that must must be a unique combination, Certainly got attention from Customs officers around the world!

But I've recently been working my way from this forum's start to learn about Heuers (currently in 2005) and find that other makes of bracelets are mentioned, or even recommended, occasionally. How common are combinations like this?
