I'm a huge fan of Instagram . . . it's an awesome community for watches, and the hash tag #VintageHeuer will always show you some great watches. Here are two of my recent postings.
But Instagram is not a place / platform for serious watch engagement and discussion . . . people look at watches -- or the pretty women or cars -- and hand out so many "likes", but there is not much serious discussion of anything. It's basically today's version of "Show and Tell", as we had it in elementary school.
The internet offers us many different platforms and formats . . . from 140 characters on Twitter, to 5,000-word blog postings . . . but you have to view each platform in light of its purpose / culture / community.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
: this watch has been posted on my IG account half a dozen times. All
: the global HEUER experts were tagged and not one person
: commented on authenticity. My research has made me nervous in
: particular the lack of comparative dials and no evidence in
: HEUER literature from the 40s and 50s. I know it's not an exact
: science, but the points made by Jeff regarding the bridge are
: enough to conclude that the integrity of the watch can't be
: proved and it is not therefore "correct"
: I am going to contact the seller this evening and discuss returning
: the watch based on the evidence presented.
