Respectable dealer...

Hello Michael,

Quite an introduction you got here ;-)

First of all...I must admit, a gorgeous watch indeed, I like it very much. I like the gold tones combined with the creamy colored dial.

Now, while I still could accept it would be an original dial (but I guess it's not), after having seen the movement and caseback...well...it's already said several times now. It's no Heuer...

Everybody makes mistakes...so did that dealer where the watch was bought originally. Now if it is really a respectable dealer, then there's no problem at all for the guy you bought it from either, he can on his turn just bring the watch back where he bought it, a respectable dealer will take it back without fuzz. We see actually more fake or franken Heuer's offered by "respectable dealers" then we actually see correct and honest examples. Most of them just don't know or care...they focus on other high end brands, like Rolex, Longines, Patek, Vacheron, etc...also because they just don't know anything about Heuer's besides probably the McQueen and the Siffert.

We have quite a good base of knowledge on the watches from the 60-ties and later...before that time period it's getting difficult for a lot of Heueristi, me included. So, still a lot to be discovered.

Up to the next Heuer then...or must I say...your first one!

Best,
abel.
