It was a great surprise to see this almost mystical piece come to market. Its doesnt get much rarer and the condition looked superb.
I spoke to the seller who advised me that the sale price of euro13,500 was a mistake by his partner and he would not sell for that and was taking offers.
Slightly offputting but I needed more info to get serious like the presence of the gold stamp on the side like all other 1158's (which was not visible in any of the images), the serial number and a movement picture.
I never got a reply. I look forward to seeing it again hopefully on one our regulars wrists.
