: I managed to buy this 1158 in Paris a few months ago and finally

: polish it at all but just clean the case and minimally polish
: the original crystal while giving the movement a bath. I don't
: think this case has ever had a machine polish because the gold
: hallmarks on the body and the case back are deep and perfect. It
: still has a bit of the original vertical brushed finish on the
: top and a fair amount on the sides and the edges are still
: pretty sharp. I just could not make myself have it refinished.
