Just reading some of those points back I can tell I typed them on my mobile....but hopefully they half make sense.
Hopefully Jeff (OnTheDash) and Stewart (Heuerville) will weigh in on this for you, and overlook my typos!!
I still don't see the value of someone refinishing the dial in this way as a fake, as it just seems so pointless for what was a low value watch, and even in today's market not like a Rolex etc.
It also doesn't look repainted in my eyes, but if it was it is strange they'd get details like the Heuer logo bang on, spelling of Professionel correct, but then put the 24h markers in odd places and match the hour hand to them.
I'm still thinking oddity rather than fake.....
