Re: Movado M95, Bruce McLaren and other stories.

Mike, first of all thanks for your kind answer, but please don't take offence.
Consider my difficult for my poor language..a scholastic English,it is a real problem for me.

Secondly,i'm an Heuer guy.Watches are like ''sons''and i don't want to be bad with mine, many powered by Valjoux 72.

But I really think we are losing creativity, spirit of research, and outside there's a wide world full of watches rich in history and great movements. So,why we can't be original?

Why too much people collect the same things?

Universal Nina Rindt and Carreras are nice watches for sure, but sometimes i think this hobby is a little bit boring.

It is not a question of money,it is a question of originality and variety.

I am happy for every collector that loves his watches, but sometimes i would like to see something new.Maybe i'm not good to write my thoughts, but i'm pretty sure you understand.

''Stay hungry,stay foolish''said a very interesting man.

Hope you are weel, and my best for you.

: GVM,

: It's a lovely watch and congratulations on the find. Movado made
: some lovely movements for sure.

: I was with you on your whole post and really enjoy the pictures but
: I'm not sure why there's a need to call Carrera's simple or the
: UG Rindt the same. This is a Heuer forum firstly, so it could be
: taken as a bit insulting...why incite an argument when showing
: off such a pretty watch? Second, there's nothing
: "plain" about a V72...you have them in your treasured
: Enicars and your Autavia.

: In any case, enjoy your Movado...we look forward to seeing more
: pictures of it along with other legendary chronographs like the
: Carrera and Compax.

: Cheers!
: Mike
