Survey -- Autavia 2446C / Mark 1 versus Mark 2 ? ? ?

Ok, guys . . . here's a question that I have been thinking about lately: Is it just my imagination, or do we see a lot more of the Mark 1 Ref 2446C Autavias, than the Mark 2 Ref 2446C Autavias? [Mark 1 has the black and white dial; smaller teeth on the bezel; smooth pushers / Mark 2 has red accents on the dial; larger teeth on the bezel; and fluted pushers.] Below you will see a Mark 1, on top, and a Mark 2, below.

My feeling, not backed by any survey or detailed information, is that for every Mark 2, we probably see four or five of the Mark 1 models. Is this correct? What do you see? How do we explain?

Perhaps the Mark 2 had a shorter run, as Heuer moved to the automatic Autavias and the C-Shaped case, for the manual wind Autavias.

If anyone has a Mark 2, please show it, with bonus points for the serial number!!

Jeff
