... what a nice looking Carrera ;)
I wonder why most of the companies including Apple, TAG and Google in general are focusing so much on design-issues instead of use cases for smartwatches. Even the best looking smartwatch will never replace the "mechanical eternity" on the wrist. And people who don't wear watches in general will not start wearing one only because it's looking better than a phone on a strap. They are aiming at a young generation, but all they think about is the traditional use of either watch or mobile phone.
What about a smartwatch you can make calls with, in case of emergency, so you can leave your mobile phone at home when you go out to party. With an NFC-chip to use it as a wallet or as a key, what about a smartwatch with GPS, heart-rate-monitor, barometric altimeter and a runtime of at least a few days, so it can be used as a tool during outdoor-activities. Maybe a watch with different straps and mountings for different purposes (running, biking, swimming, paragliding, going out, to use it as a display for whatever... ). For me at the moment watches like Garmin Fenix or Suunto Traverse are smarter than any of the Google or Apple devices, but still with lots of unused potential.
just my 2 cents...
