The answer could be neither because it has been proven before that owners were allowed to order these Heuers with the bezel of their choosing (tachometer, m/h, or compressor), however, we commonly see this model with the rarer compressor bezel and in the catalog it's how it was shown but having a different style doesn't necessarily make it wrong, the original owner perhaps took this configuration based on applicability, e.g., maybe they weren't professional divers so they had no need for compressor bezel or maybe if it was in a compressor and it got damaged owner could only get this as a replacement because the compressor was no longer available.
So many things could have happened but I don't think it makes it incorrect.
