In 1961 I purchased my first Heuer Stop Watch from the real Abercrombie and Fitch on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. I had just imported a new Lotus Elan SE Airflow Coupe. I was going up to Lime Rock for an SCCA drivers school and I decided I needed my own stop watch. While at Abercrombie's I also purchased a silver Bell Magnum Racing Helmet and first generation Nomex racing suit, Buttafarri goggles and crochet backed English driving gloves.
Those were the day's ..... it was a great time to be alive....
