I was just about to open a new thread about this watch, only to find that (of course) the ever alert experts of this forum have already begun to investigate this crime.
Completely agree with what you wrote. How can anyone be so naive and destroy a nice vintage watch, expecting that someone will not realize what has been done to this poor Carrera... another original dial lost, unfortunately. Let's hope that nobody will buy this one, even for a fraction of the starting price, because it might encourage others to butcher the next nice watch.
